Tuesday 12 December 2017 Main group, Hill reps Harcourt Raod.  Meet at Freedom Leisure 7.00pm for 7.15pm getaway as usual

Thursday 14 December 2017 Beginners/Joggers group.  Meet at Freedom Leisure at 7.30pm

Sunday 17 December 2017 Our own Cross country at Newpalce Park, Pump lane, Framfield, Junior race 10am (£2 1.1 mile if U13, 2.5 mile U17), senior race 10.30am (5 miles) (£4 if not already entered for all races) and teas/cake in barn afterwards (£1 for Alzheimer's society).  Parking is limited so plase casr share.  If you are not running and have not already voluntereed to marshall there are always things to do so please let Peter know you can help.

Saturday 23 December 2017 Eastbourne Parkrun

Monday 25 December 2017 Eastbourne Parkrun (yes I know it is Christmas day but Eastbourne puts on a parkrun, we all wear Santa hats and the like, the atmosphere is great and it sets you up for the rest of the day (you can eat and drink lounge around generally indulage and not feel guilty).  I (Graham) will be running it again this year.

Focus races

In most months 1 or 2 events are selected as particular events we seek to support: so hopefully we can achieve a strong turnout for each of these events: lets make a crowd. Mostly these will be 5 mile or 10k so anyone can do them.  Please see combined events list for a fuller list of events we participate in (click on Events then button combined events list: including later Focus events which are shown in bold). Our next Focus event is our own cross country event Newplace Park on Sunday 17 December (5 miles tea and cake in the barn afterwards)

Cross country 2017/18

15 October 2017: Snape Wood
12 November 2017: Warren Hill
17 December 2017: Newplace Park, Framfield (we host this event so if not running and can you help out with marshalling let Graham or Peter know)
14 January 2018: Black Cap Lewes: (new course this year: probably similar to the Lewes Downland 5mile)  
18 Febraury 2018: Heathfield Park (Our sister club Heathfield host this so if you are not running the event let Graham or Peter know if you can help with marshalling)
11 March 2018 Pett Neat Bexhill 

We finished 4th (combined Uckfield/Heathfield) out of 12 teams for 2016/17 which was a great results.  So lets have a strong turnout again this eyar.

Track training 

Track training is on 2nd and 4th Wednesday but currently is not planned to resume until January 2018.  This has prevously been at Eastbourne (Cross levels Way, Eastbourne BN21 2UF) 7pm.

Sussex Grand Prix events

A full list of 2017 races are shown on the Sussex Grand Prix Page within the Racing tab with links to entry.   For a full score you need to complete 8 out of the 17 races of which at least 2 must be 10 miles or more.   There are two event left, Hove 10k on 30 October and Crowbourgh 10k on 3 December.  The Sussex Grand Prix is changing next year, 2018, to 6 races of of 10 and you no longer need to complete races of 10 miles or more.

Main Group: Tuesday Training 

Tuesday training is a mix of steady runs and more 'technical' sessions such as hills or repetitions.  During the spring/Summer we mainly train off road in the winter the runs are in Uckfield.

Monday and Thursday Beginners/Joggers Groups

There are beginners/joggers groups on Monday 9.30am (term time only) and Thursday 7.30pm.  These are relaxed social groups which cater for absolute beginners to joggers.  See the beginners tab for further details
