Tuesday 05 March 2019 Main group.  Meet at Freedom Leisure 7.00pm for 7.15pm getaway

Thursday 07 January 2019 Beginners/Joggers group.  Meet at Freedom Leisure at 7.30pm

Sunday 10 March 2019 Petr Cross Country (near Bexhill) 10.30am start.  There is likley to be some mud so trail shoes are recommended if you have them but not essential.   There is limited parking so car share is encouraged.  Meet at Freedom Leisure at 8.40am.  It takes just over and hour to get to Pett.

Tuesday 12 March 2019 Main group.  Meet at Freedom Leisure 7.00pm for 7.15pm getaway as usual

Wednesday 13 March 2019.  Track training at Eastbourne, Cross Levels Way, Eastbourne BN21 2UF, £3 pay on track suitable for all abilities

Thursday 14 March 2019 Beginners/Joggers group.  Meet at Freedom Leisure at 7.30pm.  

On 1st run for each of Monday ,Tuesday and Thursday please bring food for the food bank instead of the usual £1

Track training 1st and 3rd Weds at Crowborough 7.30pm to 8.30pm (starts again 3 April 2019) and 2nd and 4th Weds at Eastbourne (with Heathfield) 7pm to 8pm £3. 

There are a number of local Parkruns. Parkruns are every Saturday 9am they are free but if you have not already done so you need to register with Parkrun (free) and print off your bar code which you can then use at any Parkrun World wide.  Most weeks we pick one Parkrun to focus on and meet at Freedom Leisure to sort out cars share usually 7.40 to 7.50am depending on how far we need to travel.  Cafe afterwards is always an important part of the morning.  Locally there are Parkruns at Eastbourne, Hastings Prom, Hove Prom, Preston Park Brighton, East Brighton, Hove Park, Bevendean Brighton, Peacehaven, Seaford, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Bedgebury nr Wadhurst, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Tilgate Park Crawley.  A parkrun is due start in Buxted Park summer 2019!

On 23 March we are taking over the Eastbourne Parkrun as part of our training for the Uckfield Parkrun in Buste Park

Focus races

In most months 1 or 2 events are selected as particular events we seek to support: so hopefully we can achieve a strong turnout for each of these events: lets make a crowd. Mostly these will be 5 mile or 10k so anyone can do them.  Please see combined events list for a fuller list of events we participate in (click on Events then button combined events list: including later Focus events which are shown in bold). Our next Focus event is Pett Cross country on Sunday 10 March 2019 followed by Hastings 5 mile (Sussex Grand Prix event) on 12 May 2019

Cross country

The 2018/19 season dates are on the Cross Country tab. The last event is Pett near Bexhill on 10 March 2019.  Cross country dates for the 2019/2020 Season will be posted in September  

Sussex Grand Prix events

The list of 2019 races are shown on the Sussex Grand Prix tab under racing above. Thiis year there will be 12 races the same 10 as last year plus Rye 10 mile and Bexhill 5k.   For a full score you need to complete 6 out of the 12 races (last year 6 out of 10 and as with last year and as last year you do not need to complete races of 10 miles or more).

Main Group: Tuesday Training 

Tuesday training is a mix of steady runs and more 'technical' sessions such as hills or repetitions.  During the spring/Summer we mainly train off road in the winter the runs are in Uckfield town.

Monday and Thursday Beginners/Joggers Groups

There are beginners/joggers groups on Monday 9.30am (term time only) and Thursday 7.30pm.  These are relaxed social groups which cater for absolute beginners, joggers and runners looking for a more relaxed run.  See the beginners tab for further details

Track Training

Track training is at Crowborourgh 1st and 3rd Wednesday (£1) Uckfield Runners session (restarting 3 Apr 19) and at Eastbourne (Cross Levels Way, Eastbourne BN21 2UF) on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month from 7pm (£3) joint session with Heathfield Road Runners.  Both sessions are for 1 hour.  Both are suitable for all abilities.
